Yujing Ma
Yujing Ma has been in the Environmental Geography group since January 2018 as a PhD student. Her current research focuses on Urban Ecosystem Services and implications for Urban Planning and Design. For this she plans to employ a combination of methods, including spatial analysis, social media, and participatory mapping. She is conducting her research under the supervision of Prof. Peter Verburg and Dr. Astrid van Teeffelen.
Prior to joining the group, Yujing finished her master’s degree in Landscape Architecture at Peking University, specializing in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture and Ecosystem Services. Her MSc thesis is titled “Assessment of Recreational Ecosystem Services in Urban Areas” for which she conducted field work in Beijing. For her bachelor she studied Urban Planning at Southwest University, China.
