Maaike van Aalst

Maaike van Aalst worked as a PhD candidate within the NWO project ‘Adaptation Pathways for socially inclusive development of urbanizing deltas’ under supervision of Henri de Groot and Eric Koomen. Her research focuses on developing a framework for ‘social inclusiveness’ in relation to water management (strategies), making use of the adaptation pathways approach, and with a specific focus on the Viet Nam Mekong delta. Currently, she is affiliated with Deltares, where she is involved in several Delta Plan projects and other related studies. Meanwhile she finalises her PhD research.
